From a young age, Dr. Francisco Amaya knew his call was treating people, influenced by family members working in the medical field, he saw medicine as a noble way to help others. That’s how he decided to study at the Facultad de Medicina de la Universidad de Baja California.

During his medical studies, he started to lean towards surgery, and decided to study at the Hospital Universitario “Dr. José Eleuterio Gonzalez” in Monterrey, NL for 8 years, where he specialized as General Surgeon and finished the subspecialty of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery.

Following his interests, he got board certified by the Mexican Council of Plastic, Aesthetic and Reconstructive Surgery. He is a member of the Mexican Association of Plastic, Aesthetic and Reconstructive Surgery, and was recently named Plastic, Aesthetic and Reconstructive Surgery Specialist of the Institute for Social Security and Services for State Workers, ISSSTE of Baja California.

Dr. Francisco Amaya is constantly attending courses and conferences to keep learning new techniques that allow him to innovate through continuous education.
